Volunteerism

Celebrating Our GFWC Volunteer Spirit

We take pride in our GFWC Volunteer Spirit and our impactful work in the Tampa community, focusing on various causes through our Community Service Projects.

Our commitment to volunteering aims to improve lives and foster a compassionate community. We invite you to join the GFWC Women’s Club of New Tampa, whether for a few hours or more, as we inspire and support one another in making a difference locally and beyond. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.

Education

Empowering Change Through Knowledge GFWC emphasizes knowledge as key to positive change. We provide members with opportunities to participate in ESO Book Clubs, educational seminars, and webinars. Our members attend meetings that have informative guest speakers, events such as book signings and community workshops.

We support youth and education by assisting school students with supply drives, maintaining free libraries, engaging in volunteer programs emphasizing youth education, offering scholarships for high school students, and supporting women returning to education. Our Community Support Initiatives include donating clothing and supplies to foster care programs and shelters, helping elevate those in need.

Support

Our members have fun while helping the community.
Donations come in many forms, including monetary, in-kind donations, and collections of new and gently used items. Many of our monthly meetings include speakers many times from organizations we support. We help people, animals, and the environment in our community and nationally.

We host a variety of Fundraising Events throughout the year to support our volunteer spirit.

Sisterhood

Join our sisterhood of caring individuals   The essence of our sisterhood lies in our collective support at various levels, fostering bonds that extend beyond meetings. Our Legislative Action Center promotes non-partisan causes addressing issues affecting women, children, and families. We advocate for shared values through workshops, events, and projects, empowering each other to create meaningful change. Celebrating diversity, we cultivate an inclusive environment where every voice matters. Together, we champion change and build a supportive network, committed to improving the world for future generations.
